The questions we get asked

Who plants the trees?

We have formed an incredible partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects, who hire people in rural villages in developing countries to grow, plant and guard the native forests on a large scale. The project aims to 1) alleviate extreme poverty by hiring local villagers to grow, plant and guard large-scale forest restoration sites 2) provide a consistent income to poverty-stricken communities, encouraging economic growth and 3) restore the environment through reforestation efforts, improving fisheries, agriculture and carbon sequestration.

Can you prove that these trees are being planted?

We pride ourselves on transparency with our customers and the community. You can see our tree planting reciepts here. But who is checking that our partners are actually planting trees? Our partners are regularly audited by third parties to ensure they meet the highest of standards.

Where are the trees planted?

Your trees are planted in Kenya, not far from the school projects we fund. Kenya is an incredibly beautiful place. From the creativity of the people to the diversity of its landscapes and wildlife. From the highlands to the coast, Kenya has an incredible range of forest types that have long-supported communities and wildlife. The cultural and ecological heritage of Kenya’s forests is vibrant and unique, but the management of them in recent decades has been unsustainable. Only 7% of Kenya is covered in forests and 42% of the population live below the poverty line. That's why we are extremely passionate about this project in helping employ the community to plant trees and tackle the climate crisis.
